ABOUT

Nienke Bun is an all-round trained dancer based in the Netherlands, driven by passion and distinguished by a keen eye for detail. With over 15 years of experience she has grown into a versatile dancer who continuously seeks excellence and precision.

She started dancing at the age of seven and built a strong technical foundation at Dutch dancing academies Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in Amsterdam and Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. In the meantime, she broadened her knowledge and refined her qualities through daily training with top professionals in the Dutch dancing scene. She trained with renowned dancers such as Vincent Vianen, Shay Latukolan, Malou Linders, Josh Wharmby, and Timor Steffens, known for their work with international top-artists including Usher, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Chris Brown.

Nienke has trained in a wide variety of dance styles, ranging from house and ballet to contemporary jazz and tap dance. She specializes in hip hop and commercial styles, having trained extensively with leading Dutch choreographers and teachers Virgil Moreno and Angelo Pardo. She expanded her training internationally in places like London, Paris, Berlin, and Taiwan, where she continued to deepen her craft and learn from choreographers across the world.

Nienke has performed in the theatre show of Dutch comedian Jandino Asporaat, which is available on Amazon Prime, delivered a solo performance on stage in China, and danced at renowned venues such as RAI Amsterdam and Lucent Danstheater in The Hague. She has also collaborated closely with Virgil Moreno, assisting him in the dance studio for television shows and artists including the Vengaboys, and appeared in a music video under the guidance of Dutch choreographer Roy Jonathans.

After several years in the dance scene, Nienke began creating her own choreographies and frequently collaborated with other inspiring dancers. Through this process, she was able to fully express herself and explore her creativity. Shortly after, she also started teaching some hiphop classes as a substitute to both teens and adults.

At a certain point, Nienke decided to broaden her dance knowledge even further and began focusing fully on dancing Latin styles with a partner such as salsa, bachata, and Rueda de Casino - a fresh and exciting challenge. She picks up new movements and styles with remarkable ease, always adding a unique and personal touch. She’s not just a talented dancer, but also someone who inspires others to keep growing. Besides dancing, Nienke loves to challenge herself physically through some intense kickboxing training. At the same time, she loves expanding her skill set — ranging from programming to creative pursuits like photography, videography, and editing.
